Sevens are available in a variety of forms, from the traditional Classic to the state of the art, giant-killing CSR.
And now, for the first time in its 40-year history, the Roadsport SV offers an extended dimension chassis, truly opening the Seven market to a
wider audience.
Which car is right for you?
Buying a car, particularly one like the Seven, should be an enjoyable experience. We aim to ease and aid your experience by including information
regarding the options available to the Seven buyer. Please take time to investigate each of the three models available for the US market. On the
left are links to pages with more detailed information on each model. The diversity of the Caterham range is borne out of the needs and requests
of our customers. If any information that you require is not provided within these pages, please contact us
here at Rocky Mountain Sportscars.
Test Drive!
Driving a Seven is like no other experience. We highly recommend visiting our shop and going for a test drive.
Because of the exclusive nature of the Caterham, there are not dealerships near every customer. To accommodate customers not in the Denver area,
we will happily rebate up to $350.00 in travel expenses with the purchase of a new Caterham from Rocky Mountain Sportscars. Please
contact us for further information, or for assistance in making travel plans and
to book an appointment.
Buying a Caterham is not like shopping for a Ford, so how does it work?
If you have already decided on the specification of the Caterham you desire, please contact us
immediately. We require a $5,000 deposit to secure a build date at the Caterham Factory, and final payment when your goes into build at the factory. After
ordering a Seven in the configuration suiting your specific motoring requirements, your kit will be custom packaged with the appropriate options and shipped to
the U.S. directly from the U.K. factory in component form with an assembly guide. Delivery times generally range from 3-5 months, but can vary with demand on
factory production capacity. Please contact us for the latest available factory build dates.
All Caterham pricing includes shipping from the UK to the nearest international port. Local transportation and customs fees are additional, as they vary depending
on your final delivery location. We work closely with a customs and shipping agency, and we will be happy to assist in making delivery arrangements. Local
transportation and customs typically total less than $1,000.
The kit does not come with an engine? How does that work?
For the US market, Caterham USA has developed a line of Caterham Factory approved installations that come complete with all necessary installation hardware
and wiring, as well as with a detailed installation guide written specifically for the US market. Please check out the
powertrain page for more details.
The “kit car” question.
In the UK and in some other markets the Caterham is available “factory built,” ready to drive. In order to meet US regulations, all of our cars must enter
the country as “kits,” with no engine or transmission. Approximately half of our customers choose to assemble the car themselves, a task requiring approximately
60-100 hours to finish depending on experience. The build requires no special tools and the kit comes fully wired and plumbed, and includes a detailed assembly
guide. We can also arrange to have the kit professionally assembled here at our shop and delivered to you, ready to drive, contact us
directly for more information on this.
Click on the photos to the left to find more detailed information on each model. Included are full listings of standard equipment and options,
as well as an interactive pricing tool to calculate the cost of various Super Seven configurations. For detailed sales help, or for specific questions, please
don't hesitate to contact us.
